HAIRSTICK NEWS
I’ve given quite a bit of thought about how to juggle hairsticks between my website and ETSY shop. My main concern has always been how to make it easier for you to browse and shop. The latest idea I came up with is to list new hairsticks on the website for a period of 2-3 weeks and then move them to Etsy. With the exception of higher priced designs - $40.00 and over -which will remain on the website.
I don’t know how this will work out. If you have any comments or suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
Some customers have told me they don’t like shopping on Etsy. If this is you, I can move items listed there to this website and reserve them just for you. This works both ways - I will also move designs from here to Etsy for you.
COMBINED SHIPPING: If you place an order at my website AND Etsy shop and would like them shipped together, please let me know via email or message through Etsy. I will refund the duplicate shipping charge to you via PayPal.
UNIQUE HAIR ACCESSORIES
Each piece of hair jewelry is a miniature work of art. Some tell stories, some represent animals or flowers - all are beautiful fashion for your hair. Women have adorned their hair with jewels for thousands of years. Embellish your long locks with exquisite hair jewels from Barefoot Maiden!
I create each design one at a time with the upmost care using handpicked semi-precious gemstones, vintage Swarovski® crystals, sterling silver, vermeil, Venetian glass beads, American made brass elements and more. All finials are mounted on natural wood or stainless steel sticks. Many designs can be customized to your specifications and all can be shortened or lengthened to suit your needs.
Beads on the finials may turn a bit - the same way beads move on a necklace or bracelet. Rest assured, the beads are firmly secured to heavy duty metal pins and cannot fall off. These pins are very strong and do not bend easily, although I still recommend handling your hairsticks by the stick portion, not the beaded finial.

CUSTOMIZING CURRENT DESIGNS
If you would like to customize any designs, please contact me. I can switch precious metals for you (sterling to vermeil or brass and vice versa), use different gemstones or Swarovski® crystals on some hairsticks, change type of wood used and change the usable length on hairsticks.
Currently in stock: Cocobolo (medium to dark reddish wood with beautiful patterns), East Indian Rosewood (medium to dark brown), Gabon Ebony (black), Bloodwood (light red-orange), Padauk (dark red-orange), Pink Ivory (pale pink), Purpleheart (purple), Kingwood (medium brown with stripes) and brushed stainless steel.
