How is your jewelry packaged?
All jewelry is presented in custom gift boxes, suitable for gift giving. These are securely packaged in a sturdy shipping box. Occasionally a hair ornament may be too large for a gift box (this will be noted in the item descripton) and will be wrapped in lots of bubble wrap and shipped in a sturdy shipping box.
Can I get my selection customized?
Yes, usually. I can shorten or lengthen many necklaces and bracelets. The cost for this is determined by the materials used and work involved.
Hair accessories can also be customized in a variety of ways. The usuable length of any stick can be shortened and most can be lengthened. Changing the length of the stick will take an extra 1-2 days. You can change the wood used to any type I have in stock. The woods I usually carry are: Gabon Ebony or African Blackwood, East Indian Rosewood, Padauk and Cocobolo. I also try to keep the following in stock, but please ask first: Pink Ivory, Purpleheart. Brushed stainless steel sticks are always available.
Many designs can be changed from sterling silver to vermeil - or vermeil to sterling silver). There may or may not be additional costs associated with these changes. Please ask if you are interested in any of these custom options.
How private is my information?
Barefoot Maiden values your privacy and will not release personal information to other parties. The information collected from you when placing an order is only used to process your order. I do not sell or otherwise distribute personal information to other vendors and/or mailing lists. I don’t use wireless devices when conducting website business.

Guarantee and Returns
It’s important to me that you are completely happy with your purchase. If you are not happy with your item please notify me immediately. You may return an item for a full refund of the purchase price within ten days of receipt. All items must be in their original, unworn condition, must be returned in their original packaging and insured for the purchase price. Insurance is mandatory - I am not responsible for packages lost in the mail. Shipping charges (if applicable) are not refundable.
