Moonstone Goddess Pendant Necklace~ African Amethyst, Rainbow Moonstone Pendant
Wear a bit of moonlight tonight with this amethyst necklace. In ancient Rome, moonstone was believed to be formed out of moonlight. With its ethereal glow, it’s not surprising that many consider it to be a stone of magic, symbolizing the Moon Goddess.
A beautiful rainbow moonstone pendant adorns this necklace. This large rainbow moonstone cabochon has a neon blue-purple flash that floats across a its surface when the light hits it just right. This phenomenon is called schiller or adularescence. A deep red garnet gemstone is above the moonstone and an amethyst gemstone is below. All stones are bezel set in sterling silver.
The chain is comprised of handcrafted sterling silver links joining faceted African amethyst nuggets and rondelles. This African amethyst has deep purple natural coloring. The stones are captured between sterling silver accents. The necklace closes with a sterling silver clasp and extender. Its length is 17-1/2 to 20 inches.
